INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup butter or
margarine
- ½ cup firmly packed
brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated
sugar
- ½ cup evaporated
milk
- 1 tbsp. Vanilla
extract
Combine butter, sugars
and milk in a medium saucepan.
Stirring constantly,
cook over low heat until butter melts and sugars dissolve.
Increase heat to
medium and bring to a boil.
Stirring constantly,
boil about 9 minutes or until thickened.
Remove from heat
and stir in vanilla. Serve warm.
Makes about 1-1/2 cups.
(This keeps well in refrigerator.
Heat before serving over dessert.)
